2014 World Series - Game 3 - Cardinals 5, A's 2

GAME 3 - Busch Stadium
S.Gray vs Wainwright
Cardinals 5, A's 2

Adam Wainwright wasn't dominant, but he was sure good enough (2 runs in 6.2 IP) as the Cards took a commanding 3-0 lead in this best of 7 series.  The hometown fans were ecstatic to see their "road warriors" come home to the gateway city and continue to take care of business.  Curiously the A's outhit the Cards once again (10 to 5), but once again the scoreboard doesn't lie (5-2 Cards).  Peralta (2-3, 2 RBI) was once again the hitting star and the odds on favortie at this point to be the series MVP if things continue as is.  Trevor Rosenthal pitched a scoreless 9th to notch his 5th save of the post season.
Cardinals lead series 3-0
